Hua Hin - Climate
Seasons
In Hua Hin, just as in most parts of ”touristic” Thailand, they count to three seasons:
- The hot season
- The rainy season
- The cool season
The hot season is indeed very hot, but the other two season have somewhat misguiding names. Even though the rainy season does bring some rain, the rains are usually concentrated to a few minutes of heavy down pour at a time and in between the sun is shining.
The cool season is indeed cooler than the other two, but the difference is not that big. The thermometer rarely shows day temperatures below 30 C.
Monsoon
Monsoon rain is the type of rain that falls during the Monsoon period, i.e. the rainy season. Hua Hin is well protected from monsoon rains and cannot be compared to other Thailand destinations neither North nor South.
The best time to visit Hua Hin
From a weather perspective the best time to visit Hua Hin is during the cool season which lasts between November and February. The rainy season is ok as well even if it is a little bit hotter and more humid, and it occurs between March and June. From July until October the humidity and heat is more or less unbearable for most “Northerners”.
